Building Custom Analytics Dashboards with secQR Data

Questions

Asked before every pilot.

Does the consumer need an app?

No. Any smartphone camera reads a secQR code and opens the verification page in the browser. This is deliberate: verification only protects a brand if people actually do it.

Can a counterfeiter simply copy the QR code?

They can copy the image, but a copy is not a new identity. Every secQR code resolves against a unique, controlled record. When a copied code is scanned, the platform sees a duplicate, and tells the customer, and you.

Does secQR require special labels, inks or printers?

No. The code prints with your existing label stock and printers, inside your existing artwork. There is no hologram, no security ink and no substrate change.

Where is our product data stored?

Wherever you decide: multi-tenant cloud, a private cloud or VPS instance, or fully on-premises within your own infrastructure. Product data is never shared with third parties.

Is secQR compliant with India's Schedule H2 QR code requirement?

secQR encodes the data set required under Schedule H2 (unique product identifier, generic and brand name, manufacturer details, batch, manufacturing and expiry dates and licence number) and makes each code dynamic so that it also serves live authentication. Confirm scope and dates for your products with your regulatory team.

What happens on the first scan of a genuine product?

The customer sees a genuine result with unit, batch and date details. The scan is time-stamped and geo-tagged, becoming the reference point for any later scan of the same code.

How does secQR detect grey-market diversion or ghost production?

Scans are compared against where and how many units were meant to be in a channel or territory. Stock scanned outside its allocation, or scan volumes exceeding declared production, raise alerts with evidence.

Which industries use secQR?

FMCG, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, automotive parts, government and PSU supply, and heritage, premium and regulated goods.

Is secQR audited?

The platform is SOC 2 Type II attested (2025). The report is available under NDA on request.

How long does a pilot take?

Typically a single SKU is live within weeks, with measured results inside a quarter.

Who builds secQR?

secQR is the flagship product of DBTEZ, a Bengaluru-based product-intelligence and digital-identity company.
